PU LUONG TREKKING 3 DAYS/2 NIGHTS
HANOI – MAI CHAU – SAI – HANG – KHO MUONG – PHO DOAN – LA HAN BRIDGE – HANOI
The Pu Luong Nature Reserve is an area of outstanding beauty, cultural interest and biodiversity. Stretching from Mai Chau in the North West Cuc Phuong National Park in the southeast, the region is blessed with rich forest, limestone panoramas, magnificent rice terraces and breathtaking scenery. On this trip you can experience the everyday life and culture of Thai and Muong people and stay in scenic villages with traditional homestay accommodation.
Day 1: Transfer from Hanoi to Sai village. Walk to Hang villages.
Day 2: Trek from Hang to Kho Muong village
Day 3: Trek from Kho Muong to Pho Doan. Transfer back to Hanoi
DAY 1: HANOI – MAI CHAU – BAN SAI – PU LUONG NATURE RESERVE (L,D)
You commence the 3 days trip from Hanoi by a drive to Pu Luong Nature Reserve on Highway 6. The Astonishing views of fields of tapioca, sugar canes and rice plantations gradually feft behind after 2 hours driving, there come the picturesque views of mountains and valleys of Hoa Binh. After taking a break at the beautiful Muong Village of Giang Mo, you will arrive at Mai Chau Valley where situated the well –known village of Lac, inhabited bu white Thai minority. Here you enjoy lunch in one of local house. From Mai Chau to Sai village “gate way” to Pu Luong, ia near ly one hour driving. Upon arrival at Sai village, you start inserting into the Reserve by a walk following the village’s dirt road running through the beautiful and peaceful landscape made of the Thai minority’s 100 years old stilt houses, all surrounded by rice fields. You will pass by a small stream named Pung which later can be seen snaking its way at the bottom of the valleys. After nearly 3 hours trekking, you arrive Hang village where you accommodate tonight in one of villagers’s traditional house on stilt. Enjoying “Ruou Can”, having delicious dinner of fresh local products, chatting the whole evening with the hospitable host family… It is an real opportunity to learn and understand the culture and daily life of local people here.

DAY 2: TREK TO EO KEN AND KHO MUONG VILLAGES ( B,L,D)
Today you wake up early to enjoy the sunrise. The villages are already on their daily activities such as working on rice fields, watering and harvesting vegetable gardens, feeding the cattle and poultry. After having breakfast, you say good bye to the villagers and start the morning trekon a small hilly path running through the rice fields, beautiful mountains and villages view in a short distance. The atmosphere is so peaceful. You will cross the Pung stream again on the way. After about 2 hours trekking , you climb a heartbreaking slope and eventually arrive Eo Ken village. Lunch is prepared and served in a stilt house in the village.
Afternoon trek will be on the trail running along mountain side of Pu Luong. You take a relax break at Thung Mun village before climbing over Voi Phuc mountain. The big challenge gives you the opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful karsts mountains of Pu Luong. In late afternoon, Kho Muong village is in your eyesights. From the hillside road which leading down to the village, the village’s view is amazing, especially in the sunset. You later meet the villages at the stream running behind the villages. Spend your second night in a typical Thai eco – stilt home in Kho Muong village.

DAY 3: TREK TO PHO DOAN. TRANSFER BACK TO HANOI. (B,L,-)
As normal today you wake up in the sounds of village life and nature surrounding. It is time to stroll around the peaceful and tranquil village or would you like to explore a limestone cave named “ Bat cave” which is excellent choice. The friendly villagers, incredible views of mountains and rice paddies would make one to wish for a longer walk to Pho Doan.
You arrive Pho Doan at noon and have lunch in local restaurant. Your driver is standby here for your trip back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi in late afternoon.

1. Due to be required by Local Authority, original passport and valid entry Vietnamese Visa are required upon check in homestay.
2. Pls bring your man/lady kit( soap, brush, tooth paste…) Sun/insect cream, rain coat, jacket, trekking shoes, comfortable wears..
