Cambodian’s only deep-sea port is located here and considerable international aid has been spent to improve the infrastructure in the province. Although tourism has increased over the past few years, the beaches of Sihanoukville are some of the most unspoiled in all of Southeast Asia. If you wish to see more than just Angkor Wat and Phnom Penh and have a couple of days to unwind at the end of your Cambodian exploration, we suggest chilling out at the coastal town of Kep.
Day 1: Phnom Penh – Kep
Leave Phnom Penh in the morning and reach Kep by noon. You are accommodated in a beautiful lifestyle resort, offering salt water infinity pool, massages, yoga and sailing lessons. Enjoy the quiet atmosphere of this seaside town and a traditional Khmer massage by the sea.
Day 2: Kep
Rise to the sound of the waves and start your bike expedition in the jungle covered hills around Kep. Sailing is also on the menu as well as unwinding by the swimming pool.
Day 3: Kep – Phnom Penh
Head to Kampot for some sightseeing of local caves and temples, returning to Phnom Penh in the late afternoon.
